Blown up rush

The new EPS takes away the weight feeling on the Apex XTX. The price tag sucks but if all the mfgs start coming out with EPS like they did on the 4 wheelers then weight won't be an issue. Then you can look at motor, reliability and the things that should matter other than weight.

I hear what you are saying on the lighter sled. I moved from the Apex to the Vector GT LTX for the very same reason the weight but I went back to the Apex with the EPS and the longer 144" track.

Sounds like you need a Rush with an Apex motor shoved in it.

When they lighten up a bit the 4 will probably be my next. Or, the direct injection that everyone seems to be fine tuning.

Though we are talking trail sleds vs. race sleds; there is still something to be said about why they won't rely on oil injection for racing.

Raced for several years and been around it most of my life. Rule of thumb when you race anything is if it's not needed it goes! Oil injection is not needed on a race sled there for it's GONE! It's weight, it takes up room and on a race sled is simply NOT NEEDED. Period.

I think it blew up from the silly graphix on the sled. Did anybody see that thing?? haha

If you had a Monster sticker, all would have been fine!

well operating at high speeds is something that shouldent be done. only ride at what you are capable of riding at. With an 84 phazer motor you never know.. I would bring your own gas for a good reason. Just be carful I know a rider in our group seen a wolf when he was bustin pow... you dont want to break down and get a group of wolves surrounding you or anything like that.. Not like yeti is going to eat you but you never know.

yeah i know etects have there problems too.. lets face it I dont care what sled you ride they are all JUNK. Polaris yamaha skidoo and cat.. The newer these sleds get the worst they get.. This thread isent about a yamaha 4 stroke motor vs a 2 stroke motor.. you wanna talk about that then go start your own thread someplace else! I like to feel somwhat decent after a weekend of riding too.. not that my back is gonna give out from such a poor suspension. You can go on to tell me the suspension on your yamaha or your cat or skidoo or polaris is great.. its a preferance. I own a rush well I think the xp is up there too.. I cant speak for cat cause I havent ridden one in a few years.. These guys I ride with all had yamaha's they know what they are talking about.. Half of you guys prolly never been on a rush or a xp or anything else... if you have well congrats.. Ill take the risk of blowing up a 2 stroke motor vs having a overweight 4 stroke.. sorry.. I love the 2 strokes.. personal opinion..

You should have expected a few folks to comment about your opinion of the Phazer, Yamaha or Phazer backers alike. You chose to say "junk", you could have easily just said it wasn't for me or my style of riding. Not sure how you can compare a Rush to a FX Phazer, very different sleds, styles. But I can tell you this, on the trail, the Phazer (rtx) is near impossible to beat given a talented rider and a proper setup, so it does excell at something (beyond simply being a 4s)...

Good luck on the fix to your motor, may it be speedy and free.

Well I hate to say it but I'm a hardcore Yammie guy and if a Phazer is nearly impossible to beat on the trail you must ride with some slow company. They wouldn't even be within the next zipcode after a 200 mile ride...

^^^Must not feed the Troll ^^^

Ah ****, if you want to discuss the merits of the Phazer and those that know how to set them up and ride them, I invite you to email or PM me directly.

Now back to the subject.
