oh wow interesting little wagner, sounds like something my old man would do haha. Go to another dealer threaten to buy haha. So it was deffinately the snow dust then. I'm looking to buy a rush this year or next for sure. I'm just waiting to see if there are any major problems. From what it sounds like its not a huge issue. Thanks for letting us know!

Wow srt and willie r crazys!! OK deal on the rush... let me give you a run down of before The trip. I took the sled into my dealer to get the machine gone threw. Spent 3-400 dollars. I got the machine back went to fill it with oil an notice the sensor in the exhaust was not put back in. Put the sensor back in and put the side panel back on. Loaded sled on trailer and off to the U.P we went. Unloaded drove prolly 50-60 miles and it burnt down.. Dealer calls today said it was to much snow dust and that the hood did not seal with the air box and moisture got it. They told me since they did not know who had the hood off last.. (they did when I had them look it over) They would split it 50/50. I do have warrenty but they said it will not cover it. So I was upset... I went to the skidoo dealer and picked out a new etec.. Went to my dealer to get things straight before I go sign papers for the new sled... Told them my frustration and that I would be purchasing a skidoo. Next thing I knew dealer was on their knee's and now darn near getting the sled back at little to no cost... The more I think about it Ill bed Tedsdead got jelious and decided to mess with my rush... He is one of them computer racers and does not like when he gets beat on the trails... I now no longer ride with ted due to friendship issues.. He threw my best friends number out the window up around twin lakes area and I have not heard from him since.. I now moved on to bigger and better riders like Willis.

Hmmm I'll have to take a look at showroom Rush hoods.... never had that happen to any my 2s doos but locked up doo 2s crank bearings. Always going to be snow dust on the trail what the heck? Is this a engineering design problem or a user problem? Or both? Or 1 in a 1,000,000 happen chance?

The Rush has an air intake tube that must be in the correct position when you reinstall the hood. The owner’s manual recommends that the hood should be taken off by the dealer only. The problem is if you want to clean the exhaust valves it looks to me that you have to remove the hood.

Oh didn't know Rush hood only removed by dealer salesman didn't tell me that! I guess if you don't need to get in there to remove plugs maybe ok. Poo going to have train riders to not open hood or sounds like ther will be more snow injestion problems.

the hood deal

The hood is not that big of a deal to take off or put back on. Just make sure the tube gets inserted back into the air box properly. Real easy to do.

It is a very poor design. At least on the 2010s. I heard that the 2011s are designed slightly better. Polaris has has very poor intake designs since the end of the edge chassis. If your gonna buy a polaris, be prepared to seal up the intake. Be nice if they could design stuff a little better, for the 10k or more they are charging for these things. I aint askin for 200hp and 40 mpgs, just dont blow-up from design flaws. Not very good engineering.

So are you suggesting that you can engineer a better design for Polaris lets see you're prototype pal

Yes I am! I reengineered my own intake, and now I have NO problems. Come to think of it, didnt I tell you how to fix yours after it blew up?? haha

Yeah sounds like a **** of a good idea i will go spend nine or ten grand on a brand new sled and i will be prepared to seal up the intake. that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. With comments like that it is hard to believe that you even see a stink star on the trail anymore. down right pathetic:mad:

Turdnotted you have a discusting mouth please come by and pick up you're broken parts from you're ski-dooo you left at my estate last year. The Butler is not happy with you.

oh srt20 dont play dumb, i was hardcore polaris until i had a few issues with stink star dealer in southern wisconsin, so it was time to pull the plug with them. same dealer littlewagner deals with and getting to be close to plug pulling time for him too i am afraid

The only thing yer hardcore at is looking like a tool! A very very dull tool.

The dealer is going to put in a fuel managment system and send me on my way to parkview to do some tweaking then Ill be back for a ride around new years.. Hope all goes well
