No I like my cranks to last longer than 5000 miles
again, speaking from experience... 8000 miles on an 06-800R, nothing but new reeds. 13,800 miles on an 07-600sdi, nothing but reeds. 7800 miles on an 05-500ss, nothing but spark plugs and belts. 5000 miles on an 05-550f, plugs & belts. Just put new reeds in the 06-600sdi Gade and rolled 6000 miles last night in the park across the road.
I did have a crank go out though. My 16yr old daughters 2002 Z370f. The crank, as I type is at MidWest Crank in Green Bay having their center seal/oil drive update being done. Oh and that cat crank lasted a whopping 900 miles!!! The 02 Z440f runs like a champ still @ 2800 miles.
Done arguing with the Indy-Kid. Just looked at his profile and realized he has no personal basis nor experience to be arguing the lifespan of Rotax motors. Maybe once he has owned 20 or 30 machines of different makes we can debate stuff..
I think we're all getting bored and cranky due to lack of snow!!!
