Citgo Sea and Snow

A question I think others might have:

I typically use Interceptor in sleds with exhaust valves. The manuf. calls for full sythetic. Based on ratings, S&S has superior detergency compared to Interceptor.

Does this mean valves will get dirty more quickly running the Amsoil, or does S&S being a semi-synthetic come into play?

I really don't think its the oil as much as how you ride. Yrs ago I ran Amsoil in two almost identical sleds. One was me on the seat and the other was ridden by my girlfriend. My valves were much cleaner than hers (still dirtier than I wanted) as hers were horrible. She wasn't one to put the throttle to the bar too often where as mine was always there.

So, what's up? I have run Interceptor Oil for four years. Now I am running it in our new to us F8 and F6 sleds. Someone who knows- mechanics- please give an informed opinion as to the quality of Amsoil Interceptor Oil. I have had zero problems but want to keep these running well for a long time.

Made The Switch

I couldn't take it any longer and made the switch from Amsoil Interceptor to Citgo Sea & Snow this past weekend in both my sleds. When buying oil at Fleet Farm, the Citgo just called to me. For $11.50 a gallon, I couldn't resist and bought a few gallons. I think both sleds were faster with the Citgo...just kiddin'.
