After the big 10lb drop last week I was very happy with 4.4 lbs loss. Many times when I had a big drop I stayed the same or even gained a little the following week or 2. Hopefully I will continue to take some off this week.

Week 10- 4.4 lbs
Total - 50.2 lbs (12.5% total weight loss)

I am two days late on the weigh in because of a 2-1/2 day divisional meeting = no exercise, lots of great food, little sleep, and all the beer and drinks you can handle. Oh, and did I mention, ALL FREE! Needless to say, I didn't loose any weight...we will leave it at that. There is always next week.

I weigh myself 4 times each Mon and take the average because it is a digital scale and the first time I got on was 191.5 and I was like yahoo!!!!!!!! But the next 3 were 193, I am okay with that. Looking in the mirror I still have a ways to go.

Well the week started out great, decided I needed to start doing some walking if I wanted to keep dropping the pounds and things went well for a couple days, then took a "diet off day" for Saturday and went out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Needless to say that didn't help. Still not bad, but I need to work hard at it this week.

For the record here are my numbers as I start week 9, 216 as of 6/11/12, lost 3 for the week, 34 total after 8 weeks, and thanks to skutr's spreadsheet I now know my "total body fat loss" is 13.6%

Lets keep it going everyone, these are some good weeks to stick to it before the big parties around the 4th of July next month!

^^^ At least I'm back to my weight of 2 weeks ago, so I really can't count the weight I lost this past period.

Had a good week even with Fathers Day out to eat with the family. Kept up the walking each night, and my wife even got me a new pair of tennis shoes for Fathers day to walk in. As of this morning, 211, lost 5 for the week, total of 39. I had a goal of 210 my July 10 which would be 40 pounds by my 50th birthday. Decided to really work at it between now and then so now I'm going for 200 by that day. New goal is "50 by 50"!

This is going to be a hot week here so lets all get out and burn some calories and we can all have a good week.

Well, I too am back down to only 2 pounds over my starting weight.

One the bright side, starting to come back down, so headed in the right direction now. Confident now that the progress will continue

Week 1: 177 lbs
Week 2: No weigh-in
Week 3: 183
Week 4 & 5: No weigh-in
Week 6: 177 lbs
Week 7: 176 lbs
Week 8: Holding steady at 176
Week 9: Still holding at 176
Week 10: 175
Week 11: No weigh-in. Sorry, I forgot
Week 12: 175

That makes for 5 or 6 weeks at 176 or 175. I think I'm going to have to start paying even closer attention to what, when & why I'm eating or drinking. I don't think the beer or the grilling & smoking experiments are helping on the weekends. But what else is a guy supposed to do when he's got a bunch of beef in the smoker for 4-5 hours?

Blessings to all & keep the faith,
Scott (Skutr)

down another 2.2 . which is 7.4 %. pretty happy with 2.2 cuz had parties again last weekend but wonder what ur doing to lose all that weight RIDINDIRTY? would you care to share any secrets?

Seems like my program has been in a bit of a funk lately but haven't been losing ground. Checked in at 213 this morning (-24 lbs total). The motivation is starting to come back so hopefully I can drop a few more.

Looked at the original post date and tomorrow will mark the third month. Hard to believe it's been that long. Keep working at it folks - I think we're at about the half-way mark.

Half way mark ,uuummm, yes 3 months and my goal was to be 2 sizes smaller for this years riding season, 20 pounds that was my goal, well today I'm down 3 finally I'm recharged. I love to bike Lenny, but this year I'm finding it hard to find me time as I am working 3 jobs and working from 6 am to 11 pm, plus am trying to get my gardens at the cabins and at home re-done from 5 years of neglect. So far I've piled 9 tons of mine rock by hand and need at leat 9 more to finish off the gardens. Plus I'm doing field stone garden trim at the cabins. One positive is I check in here every Mon. and read the ups and downs and know I'm ok as we all have our struggles, and have cut back in our intake and picked up our activity skills. I'm staying positive that by this riding season I will be 20 pound lighter, and my sled will be happier for it!

You may not have lost a much as you would like but I'm betting that you're in way better shape at your current weight than you were three months ago. Conditioning is really the second part of the equation. I think there is an old expression about "carrying the weight better" and it seems like there is a certain amount of truth to it.
