186 this morning, gotta get back on track,,Gary, was it kinda of a test for you ? Burgers, pizza, ice cream all the time. That's a huge "no can do" for me. It even discourages me while I eat that way. A little here and there maybe but all in a row like that would devastate me

317.6 today. That's 50.4 total lost. Gary we appreciate the encouragement. I hear ya Lenny I can't eat that stuff at all or I think I would fall off track. I am one that if I eat bad I go on a bad streak and its very hard to get back on track. Hopefully everyone has a good week and we will see ya next Monday. Let it snow!

Figured I would check in as it has been some time! Since my last check in back on Oct 1st I think I have lost another 19.6lbs bringing my total to 134.6lbs lost or 37.6% total body weight loss. I have about another 15-20 lbs to go then maintain. Should be finished by X-mas!! Bryn71 Great job keep up the good work! Gary i know the feeling, take a weekend off and I gain 3-5 lbs like nothing, but when you only have 5 lbs to take off and not anymore its not the worst feeling in the World. This Challenge has been great and fun to watch peoples results. When I started this Challenge I was 400lbs and down to 265.4 as of this morning. Back in last Jan I started my lifestyle change and at that time weighed in at 450lbs ( No joke) which is very sad at let myself get to that number, but thats in the past. So my goal is to hit the 200lb weight loss! To think I should reach this in only 11 months is crazy, I would have bet everything I owned I could not loose 200lbs in a year but it looks like its going to happen. From when I started my diet I am down 184.6lls since Jan 2012 and since this challenge started I have lost the 134.6. Been a crazy year I will have to try to get some before and after pics on here when I am done. Keep up the good work everyone!!

Wow ridin, I was impressed when you hit 100, but I had no idea where you were coming from at the very start. You have passed everyone up and take the crown of this thread. Great Job!!!

Lenny & Ridin, I wasn't really testing anything but just felt like I needed to entirely walk away from it for a week. I had gone 26 weeks and had never gained weight from one weigh-in to another. I had not had fries for months, only had pizza a couple times in the past 2 months. Maybe ice cream (less than 1 cup) once every 2 weeks, and I had counted every calorie I ate. I walked at least 4 miles 27 out of 30 days a month, and even walked 8 miles about 5 days a month. Once I hit my goal I just needed to take a week and eat anything anytime and skip devoting the time to walking. At the end of that week I felt terrible physically but it was nice to not have my calorie book, scale and food log out all the time so I had a mental break.

Then week I eased back into it and by the end of the week I felt better and was ready to follow a structure again. I plan to get back down to under 170 and stabilize since I'd had my diet vacation.

Besides, I keep telling all of you what I'm doing so there is no way I'm showing up at the ride-in weighing more than 170!

I hope all of you are planning to come, so we can celebrate together.

Well I had planned to "work" at it a little this past week but the real work schedule got in the way so after the first two days of the week going well, the middle of the week was up for grabs and the end was more of a maintenance mode but with some snacking mixed in. Its amazing when I track my weight on an almost daily basis during a 7 day period how much I fluctuate when I'm not as rigid in my eating and exercising as I was before. I started the week at 176.4, at one point I had lost over 2 pounds, another point had gained close to 3, ended up at 177.5. So gained 1.1, but I know by how I feel now, I'll drop that pound within a day. Still trying to zero in on my final number and the life style it will take to maintain it. We'll see how this week goes.

Good job to you Bob, keep it up! Lenny, we both have had some success, but we also talked about dropping a couple more. Let's be the encourager to each other and do it this week! I know we both can if we team up and try.

See you all next Monday.

Well Lenny I dropped the ball on my end and didn't drop that pound or two. Had the roller coaster again, seems like I lose a few between Monday and Thursday then gain it or a little more back over the weekend. Had a lot of family celebration meals this week and over the weekend so ended up gaining 1.8 for the week.

Hope to stay the course this next week and get back to some good numbers.

Hope you guys had more success than me.

310.7 this morning. Down 3.3 for the week. Gary I am sure you will do fine again this week. I know its tough when you have those celebration dinners its tough. I have had a couple and although its hard, I have been able to do pretty well. I just stick to my plan and I don't change it. I have some pretty strict rules for myself and I make sure I follow them. Here is what I have been doing and maybe you guys can try it. Basically I don't eat any dairy, carbs, sugar, sweets or anything high in fat or sodium. I also do not eat after 7 pm. I eat so much chicken my buddy says I am going to grow feathers. Lol hopefully everyone has a good week. See ya next week.

I'm staying strong and holding at 179-180. Wanted to stay between 170 and 175 but I know I'm close enough to that range that if I got serious again I could get there. Been just trying to figure out how to settle into a "lifestyle" that fits with my final goals. Haven't worried about to much about the numbers yet and I know that I won't this week either. I do plan to knock a few off between Thanksgiving and Christmas as I want to be under 175 by then. Sorry if I came across sounding like I "deserved" a break a few weeks ago, or if I sounded defeated last week. Really felt neither, and I'm happy with where I am today, because I know I can get back to that goal if I really tried, but it is hard to muster up the motivation as you say. I think the biggest problem is that I'm not doing the walking now. Have a treadmill but thats just not the same as going through the neighborhood. Oh well, have a great holiday everyone and lets stay close to the course this week. See you all next Monday!
