For you guys that are serious about losing some weight, I highly recommend you check out the book "It starts with food". I did this program for 30 days and dropped 14 lbs. I feel 100 times better. I ate like a horse and did not exercise at all. Basically you eliminate all processed foods from your diet for 30 days. Also no grains, sugar, or dairy. You eat nothing but meat, fish, eggs, and vegetables. It takes some discipline and some planning but its doable. It has really opened my eyes to all the crap we eat and the insane amount of health problems that are being caused by it.

The program is called "The whole 30", and it's not one of those fad diet scams. You don't buy anything from them. (except the book)

For another serious eye opener, check out the movie "Food Inc."

That's interesting. I will take a look at that book

I lost 12 lbs this winter, not sure how, I didn't do anything different. I'd like to lose a few more but my jeans are already too big and I don't want to buy new clothes nonetheless new Klim gear!!

Well, 245 this morning so down 2, walked on the treadmill a couple of times got a blister on the ball of my foot, didn't
expect that! See you next week.

243.2, down 1.8. Fine with me since I really just made better choices about what to eat and when. Still had a ton of Easter candy and other non diet things. Just want to take it slow and enjoy the things I always have, but like I said, just make better choices about how much and when. Thinking of you guys helped this week to do those things too.

Haven't your britches always been a bit bigger than what you could fill? ;) You lost weight this winter because you went where no Indy has ever gone before! LOL. Keep it up and next winter you will feel even better behind the bars!

I got my cross bike tonight out of the basement of my old house ad need to tune it up but by the weekend it ought to be ready for some miles. May try and do a back pack trip to copper harbor and back in late July. If anyone interested and wants to ride along, LMK.

Also bought a big family sized box of Raisin Bran for my evening snack which I really do love and am totally satisfied eating so now look out guys. I'm gonna make it happen!

243.6, up 4/10ths. Was a little surprised at this. Can't say I expected to drop a lot, but really thought I made some pretty decent choices, especially over the weekend. Starting to wonder if a mid week weigh in check for me is something I should do to be sure I'm on track...

241.8. That's down 1.8. Was a nice surprise as I figured I had not done much this week. Maybe some of my "Better choices" are becoming less memorable, but regardless, this is the slow but sure progress I'm hoping will continue.
