Sorry To hear about the injury Scott !!!

Hope and pray all goes well with the healing. One of my Firefighters had that happen a couple years ago and it took quite some time to get back to 100%. Do as the Doctors say and don't push it to hard.

Ouch! That can't feel good! Skuter, take care and get well.

Like Lori, I'm facing test this weekend - going up to my mother's to do some home maintenance. No matter how hard I work, I can't offset the effects of the ultimate food pusher. Elderly mothers are very good at laying on the guilt - "you don't like the breaded pork chops? you only had two."

As my Doc told me eat anything you'd like in moderation, once your plate is served eat only 1/2 of it ,then your next meal is prepared, no double loading! At restraunts it works well as most servings are double of what you should have. So Scottiking that's 1/2 a Tombstone pizza or 1/2 of the bug bars flat bread pizza! Make mom happy I'm just like her I love to cook and feed people! Raised by a Grandma, they show love with hard work and food!

Accountability Monday, uuuuugggghhh, the Monday after jelly beans, chocolate bunny and Easter Buffet which I did not partake in, instead I ordered a grilled salmon salad and ate only 1/2 saving the other 1/2 for dinnner. After all that raking, 3 days in the gym room and only lost 1 1/4 lbs. One way of looking at it ,it was still a loss, how did everyone else survive bunny day?

Ended up losing 3 lbs this last week, the week was going real good till Sunday then the annual Easter Bunny poker game started after lunch and the snacks and beverages started flowing shortly after and moderation went out the window. On a positve note for me I'm down 9 lbs total. It was a great Sunday with family and freinds.

Not a good report here. Two weeks into it, and I am up two pounds. Just backing up for a good start I guess.

Backing up for a good start - LOL! No worries, it's a long season. I'm trying to take the long term approach myself. It took me quite a while to get to the state I'm in and I'm certainly not going to get out of it overnight. First phase is regular workouts and just flat-out eating less.

Did OK on the double whammy (trip to my mothers and Easter). According to the scale this morning I'm at -6 since we started. I'll take it. Tried a version of Lori's trick at my mothers. Still had to take the obligatory two helpings but they were really half-helpings (she didn't seem to notice) so I actually ate less than I normally do. Was back home for Easter but since it was just the two of us, it was fish on the grill and grilled asparagus. Good and pretty healthy (I think).

Week #1 235 lbs
Week #2 234.5 lbs
This week 233.5 lbs
Not too bad considering I didn't eat the best this past weekend. The big thing is I have been working like crazy in the yard & taking breaks at work to walk. Baby steps I guess. I must admit I feel bad though when I read other's posts stating they are losing 8 lbs per week. Wow, that is impressive! Jim

well for me it was good all week till yesterday where I ate 2 roast beef sandwich's about 8 pm. My weigh in today was 197 so I am going the right direction. This challenge really shows me so much about myself and I don't like it, I can do better!

I'm kind of bummed- I worked hard all week. I went to Crossfit Mon-Thurs. On Friday & Saturday I ran 3 miles and did a small lift session afterward. 6 straight days of workouts. I was also good all week with my diet. Even on the weekend. Until Easter. I didn't totally go off the deep end- but I allowed myself to eat the yummy cheesy potato dish I brought to brunch. And I had a pumpkin muffin. Etc. All of that and I only lost 1 lb. I guess it's better than nothing. But I was really hoping for more. Oh well. I'm just going to keep at it. Thinking I may have been carrying a little bloat from yesterday as well. Hopefully next Monday shows more results from my hard work.
week 1- 1 lb lost
week 2- 1 lb lost
total lost- 2 lbs (1.1%)

Skutr- that SUCKS!!!! Achillles is a nasty injury, please rest up and follow the doctor's orders.

Just a reminder that if you want a copy of the exercise tracking spreadsheet I've got to send me a PM with your email & I'll get it to you.

The foots feeling pretty good. I've got surgery Weds afternoon to repair it and then the real healing process starts. But I figure it's going to about 4 months before I can put a real shoe on. I need to be back in shape no later than September because I WILL finish the Tough Mudder if I need to drag my leg & a - - backwards across the finish line.

Blessings & thanks for the prayers

Scott (aka Skutr)

1st week=3
2nd week=2
213,210,208

I am the sugar head, eating a bag of candy (8oz to 1lb) a day plus nightly deserts. I have quit the excess sugar but now fill that void with nuts, cheese, eggs, meat, milk, cereal etc. Good thing my cholesterol is under 132. If I could just quit stress eating.

Dropped 7 pounds since the start. Did not change anything but started working again and been moving 20 years of stuff out of the house into storage. (sold the place). Went from 230# to 223# goal is 200 even. I do not believe I will see 185 ever again. I gained 32# by tiling a Pizza chain (several locations) that fed me free buffet for almost a year every day for lunch. Being "Dutch" I took advantage of it and now have the weight to prove it.

if we can train ourselves to look at eating in a better way it can be the way of life for us. I honestly have been doing well on the eating part but not near enough exercise so it's slow going. I worked 66 hrs last week on a tile job and have been doing other things so yes, I have been busy but there is nothing like some serious biking calorie burning. Now I have a road trip with my wife to take my son his car out to Norfolk so we'll see how we do with food that way. Wont be back till Tuesday or wed so no post on Mon for me.

For the people who the scale went up a little, dont worry very common, but stick with it and it will go down.....I'am 260lbs, lost 14.5 the first couple weeks but the scale is slowing down now. I have to walk and lift more and more intensly. The 11th was exactly 4 months away from our awesome white water rafting/camping trip in Keshena Wi. I have to lose at least 50lbs by then. If anybody wants to go we have a facebook page. I went for the first time when i was 38 and thought "Gosh why havent i done this a lot sooner" Beautiful scenery, waterfalls, floating down the river with you favorite beverage. This year were going early to do some golfing.
