This summer My ripsaw is going on there, rsi bar pad, new grips, handlebar hooks, possibly handguards w/mirrors because my mom claims i HAVE to have mirrors, new clutch springs, bushings in weights, and powervalves might possibly need replacing due to chattering.

Looks real clean. That's a great seat design also with a lot of storage. I'm not sure why Polaris went away from that so quick. I liked it better than the compartment on the back of my fusion.

I'll probably go with the handguards with mirrors. That's what i planned on. Needs a total handlebar "upgrade" and powervalves redone. Will probably dig into the clutch this summer too. If i don't, I get too paranoid about it.

The PowerMadd handguards with mirrors work okay, enough to let you know if someone is behind you, but the original hood-mounted mirrors for the EDGE chassis are excellent!

I'm not a fan of the "hand mirrors" personally, nice to keep your hands on the controls.

Congrats on the new (to you) sled Indy!

I've got a brand new mirror laying around for my old '99 xcsp 700. I believe that is the same mirror for the edge. I'm not sure which side it is. We only had to replace 1 from being worn out.

Let me know if you're interested.

I won't be putting any mirrors on the hood. I'm going to think about the handguards/mirrors. Poor things taken apart already. Thanks in advance again for the stickers polarice!

Nice sled. What's your dad have to say about your snowmobiling addiction. Your habit is starting to get a little more expensive.

Definatly needs a powervalve overhaul. Plugs are SUPER rich, i have a feeling it did a lot of idling. He said he cleaned them but you never know.

A couple of things, I have learned about POO's from some POO guys'. A member here & on another forum & a race group.
1) They are generally jetted way too rich. Sometimes 4-5 steps or more , depending on elevation. You can probably benefit with some small changes. When the time comes PM me and I will ask my buds what they recommend, if I have the jets you need I will send them to you for free.
2) POO sometimes misses the boat when it comes to clutching. OR the sled is manufactured for the general public . Maybe a different # spring and some weights is all you need to wake that up a little ( change your engagement ). Once again a little research may be beneficial.

Like the reinforcement braces they look as beefy as my sons IQRR chassis. Sled looks nice, also looks like your good with the stock decals. They seem to cover everything. I would put an 8" riser on it. I also have a red POO hook, some power Madd handguard extenders ( red ) I could send you, here are some pics. If you want these let me know. I'm changing my bars which we modified and going back to the stock ones, so I won't need the hook, and the extenders are brand new , I never used them , still in the bag. Of course you will need the PMadd guards to use them. Just an offer. It's free if you could use them.

The kid is 16 years old, I think he's doing very well. If all of today's kids were like Indy, I'd feel alot better about our future! Why rain on his parade?

dont think he rained on anybodies parade- just saying old school and going ride forward. dont see anything negative there. just saying.
heck i thought if kids grew up like my son, the world will be better off.

Rough but serves the purpose, I drilled & tapped the sway bar ends added SS screws & washers to prevent them from coming off again.

Spent the whole day polishing, painting, getting parts, etc. Got clutch puller, clutch guard pin, side panel reflector, powervalve gaskets and springs (1 spring had to be ordered), 2 speedo bulbs, moose stealth grips. Polished my pipe cover, painted my y-pipe, pipe, and can (BIG CAN! lol), painting hood screens right now with some krylon plastic paint, 4 coats and it will have no fish-eyes. I'm on 2, and the 2nd coat cut the fish eyes in half. I'm going to make sure to let these suckers DRY! Polished my handlebar riser today too. If you guys actually saw the things I do and how much time I spend on my sled, you'd think there's something wrong with me. Next is to finish up the powervalves (got one side in) take clutch off, clean, inspect, clean carbs and rejet with the #400's from mjk instead of 410, plugs are BLACK!!!, take out skid, paint torque arms red, inspect everything, possibly need a shock rebuild??? Will switch out to my ripsaw if my 700 doesn't sell by spring break. Throwing it up as a package deal on CL I took the handlebar accessories off so it doesn't look like a "kid sled"

I'd start with a can to get rid of this big giant thing! Then I'd head my way on over to clutching. But, my 700 is 120 hp, this is 105 hp, I don't think I'll notice a huge difference other than the arm-stretching acceleration on my 700

Got my hood screens painted with 3 coats of krylon fusion REDDD!!!!!!! (read... REDDD!!!) paint. Y-pipe, pipe (took cover off to paint it, got the cover polished), and can painted with hi-temp paint. If the storm on Wednesday doesn't pan out, I'll start tearing apart this and my 700 to swap tracks and paint the torque arms red.
