Falcons usually are tuff to beat at home. So I was happy. Need to take care of business against miami and it starts with cutler. This will be a game turnovers can not happen. Its a team the bears match up well against IMO, and only way they lose is by giving up the ball. Bears are 3-1 on the road. Need to defend soldier field now.

Looked like the same old same old Trestman game plan without turnovers....Da Bears back to 500 by beating a terrible team with a good home field record. Bears looked sleepy in Q3 Atlanta had the ball & moved it...Q4 Da Bears woke up FINALLY put the game away.

I wouldn't read to much into beating a lousy falcon team with coach that isn't going to make it thru the season.

Was a game they needed, never easy to beat anyone on the road in NFL. Ill believe they turn the corner when they play well against NE in NE, and against the packers in GB

Remember, the Vikings beat the Falcons 38-18! Not a team to measure yourself by this year. LOL

The problem with Cutler, and this came right from the announcers mouths yesterday, is you never know which guy will show up, and too many times it's the bad one. Let's see him play well for a whole season once, not just 1 or 2 games at a time.

I agree he has to put it together from here on out. He is gona thro sum pic's but he must have a short memory and comeback from those. We will see how he fairs. I know where my money is. Up to this point he has fueled 2 fires. Good jay, bad jay. Time to put one out.

All I can say is that Green Bay better get rid of that guy they have a QB.

Waiting until the last play of the game to win it?! Come on... You will never make it in the NFL if that is how you get things done!

Lets hope that never happens!

Maybe by the time Da Bears get back into the SuprBowl "the Shuffle" will be back in style...

Yea Rodgers will never amount to anything. For the record, it was the 3rd to last play of the game. Extra point and then the kick off ensued.

As much as I love the packers, the Dolphins gave that game away as much as the packers won it. I believe I have now watched the worst coach in the NFL this year. No way Philbin has a job with the Dolphins next year.

I hope Cutler plays well but by looking at a career of 110 games he has a QB rating of 85.4. Through 6 games this year he is playing at a higher rate than ever before at a current 97.4. Importantly, his interception percentage is down to a 2.6, lowest since a shortened season in 2011. Statistics do not lie, of course you can manipulate them. If his trend holds true, he will average back out and he will play worse.
But, I wouldn't be surprised if he did break his trend and increase his QB rating due to being surrounded by Pro Bowl players. The Bears have one of the most talented offenses in the NFL, which makes me wonder if Cutler actually isn't the problem. I don't care if he has a cannon arm, the majority of NFL QB's do, its about decision making. An average at best QB, McCown, could take this offense and put up big numbers. So take any descent NFL starter and put them on the Bears, would the team be better, worse or no change. You put an Elite QB like Rodgers on this team and you would be a Super Bowl contender. I think that's where a lot of Cutler frustration comes from.
Time will tell but Cutler has 2 more years to prove his worth.

The thing I feel different , is cutler was never a first in last out guy until this year. His teamates have stated many times this. Even marshall said he wanted to be first in last week, so he showed up at 5am and whos there with trestman watching film, cutler. He also had well documented clashes with former coaches and never really bought into any bears offense until last year with trestman . He also played under the worse o line I have seen in 2009,2010,2011,2012. We see how important a line is when u watch tom brady struggle, peyton against seahawks in SB, or even rodgers against lions. When u pressure any QB, they will have issues. He was under pressure for 4 straight years, instead of 4 quarters. So point being the situation cutler is in now, is TOTALLY different than any year he has played. Plus I feel he has matured significantly and everyone in the organization says they seen the change. Time will tell if he takes the next step.

Cutler make $18 million a year. Think about that...$18 milskis. Now, I know we cannot compare an NFL quarterback to a lowly innkeeper or a private meteorologist as the industries are different. But Cutler makes 474% more than the average NFL quarterback. And he doesn't come to work early? Really? He's under pressure for 4 years...HE'S PAID TO HANDLE THE PRESSURE!

Cutler is not a lousy quarterback, but he is decidedly average, not a team leader, can't figure out how to win regardless of the circumstances. A perfect example of this was Rodgers against Miami. He figured out how to win regardless of the circumstances. He figured it out. He won. Again.

My issue with Cutler is that he sucks up too much salary cap vs. his results. He is decidedly average and paid 4 times average, and it is a long term problem. Everybody is waiting for Cutler to have a break out year, to "string it together". This is what, his 10th season? And we are still waiting for the first "breakout season" while the Bears pay him $18 milskis a year? Really? Am I the only one that sees this as a problem?

Pressure comes in different forms . Im not talking the pressure faced before a big game. Im talking being hit play after play and being sacked 7 times a game. No QB can succeed in those situations. Even peyton manning.

Unfortunately those are the going rates for a good QB. Take a look around doooode. Romo, flacco, stafford, dalton, sam bradford....the list goes on. There is no magic tree to find QBs and I would love for one of you to tell me the other options the bears had???? Draft johny manziel??? I mean comon.... jay cutler is by far the best QB the bears have ever had. Packers funs dont appreciate good QB play. You have been spoiled with 2 great QBs over the last 20 years. And i gaurentee the pack will never have a player as good as him. So enjoy it while it lasts because getting your hands on a top tier QB takes some luck and is NOT easy.

Ps this year is the most cutler will make and continues to drop every year along with his cap hit down to around the 14 million mark. 54 of the 126 is gaurenteed and the contract can be terminated after year 3.

By the way, rodgers doesnt come in to work early or stay late. That had been his biggest criticism. But his play is so good no one cares. Many experts have stated that if rodgers had the will to work like manning or brady he would be the greatest QB ever hands down.

Lol. Ok jay cutler is the best QB the bears have had in the last 50 years. I cant comment on sid luckman and have no idea how he would fair in an era where passing the ball 40 times a game vs 10-15 times a game or less. Point being cutler is all bears have and going in a different direction wouldnt make sense or be possible. Emerys plan was to get trestman to get cutler to play to his potential. Only time will tell if that is right or wronggg

Sid Luckman is the best quarterback the Bears have ever had[/QUOTE]
