Looks like the Bears are already posturing for a draft pick. If it's any consolation Chicago sports fans...you still have the Cubs.

HH

You are forgetting the best Chicago team - the Blackhawks! Looking forward to another great season with them.
And as for the Bears, could be on of the biggest TALENT failures on offense. Cutler is living up to his historical average, can't win the big games with him or hardly any games this year. Marshall is going back to his status quo. Both of them were traded for a reason, they cant take you to the playoffs. Teams rarely trade a Pro bowl QB in the middle of their career, that tells you something.
Defense has too many injuries and sub par performers. Nothing more you can really say about the defense, just bad.

As far as Pack, even thought they got beat last night they still have Rogers, a winner. they will make playoffs and anything can happen once you get there. Detroit, lets see what they do the second half of the season, its gonna be interesting.

Don't like kicking a dog when their down but I said DA Bears were an awful NFL team along time ago. If these guys are indeed studs on O they should be scoring points while still in the game. Not sure what is wrong with the Bears????... but starts with Trestman his game plan looks old, stale & the D is horrible so has 2weeks to od something about it. If they come off the bye week as they are now the season is over.:(

right now lot of things wrong. After last week I expected to see an inspired team out of the gates yesterday, Def not the case, the locker room and coaching staff are serious questions. Maybe lance briggs is right. He said most talented Dline and offense he has ever been a part of, but if the lockerroom doesnt click, it does not matter.

There is no rule that a wildcard has to come from the North. This year the West has Seattle, San Fran and Arizona. Dallas and Philly might both get in. You can never count New Orleans out. If Green Bay does not win the division they could easily miss the playoffs altogether. At this point I don't see them beating out Detroit. Detroit won another game Sunday that they would have surely lost in another season. And Green Bay's defense is just not that good.

I think trestmann will be safe, don't know why I say that I just think he'll get another year unless things totally spiral out of control.
can't compare trestman to lovie...my opinion of lovie is he's one of the worst coaches in the league. look at tampa this year they've gave up like 100 points to ravens and falcons in the first half. that means you don't have your team ready to play or your game plan was abysmal. he's always got that deer in the head lights look when thing are getting out of control. tampa will be battling the raiders for worst team this year.

I didn't expect much from Tampa but their QB position seems to be evolving better than expected. Right now I can't see the Bears running the table so will be a losing season for sure. If a really good coach is available at end of season the Bears should fire Trestman give reins to proven NFL coach & see what happens next year.

No way trestman goes anywhere as long as emery is GM in my opinion. Pretty standard for coach to get 3 years. No need to over react and be like the raiders and fire coaches every freakin year.

Well this would be after his second complete year no use doing anything now but if 6-10 at the end of the season ....I say pull the trigger enough pain. I have been watching lots of NFL football & this current Bear team is BAD both O & D in comparison to just about any other NFL team. Maybe Bear talent is overated but more likely coaching is the problem.

Only way i see trestman getting fired is if emery gets fired. See how the season ends. if they go 3-5 to end season they may start cutting heads. Sounds like the locker room is in shambles according to multiple reports. No matter how much talent u have, if thats the case doesnt matter.

If locker room not pulling together that falls squarley at the feet of Trestman....just another reason to say bye bye. Emery can dodge the bullet did pretty good with draft picks but Trestman was a bad hire & players don't seem to want to play for him ....just no team passion or pride. Seahawks purged Harven with his bad attitude Bears can do the same with bad apples.

That bad apple is Cutler, IMO. I don't blame coaches for locker room chemistry.

Mark the coach has to get the team ready to play that is his job. To me no big deal if all players don't like the coach & players can be unhappy but you want them to channel that fustration to action on Sunday & that is not happening with Trestman. Purcells & Lombardi even Ditka would take players down a peg in practice & then build them up good to go on Sunday. To me Trestman seems very milk toast as a motivator ....gives me that impression on the field & in interviews. He needs to get pissed get these guys fired up.

Having a team ready to play is one thing, but that has nothing to do with team chemistry.
