good luck finding a "great" QB in this upcoming draft, looks kind of sparse.

I wouldn't touch Jameis Winston with a ten foot pole.
Mariotta from Oregon maybe? Raiders, Bucaneers and a couple other teams may beat you to the punch. Raiders got Carr and he actually don't look to bad.
Can do a lot with a 1-6 draft choice trade up,trade down, trade players, trade draft choices or both players & draft choices. Bears are bottom dwellers so might as well keep losing get a good looking draftee any position.lol New coach would help a lot too shake things up whip some of the current talent to perform better. Right now the Bear players have to know Trestman is on life support & coaches lose jobs when their team loses just the way NFL runs coach biz. IMO Trestman is & staff are awful & I have seen enough.... Trestman is done here. Maybe Bears ownership needs more time to name an interim coach? ....maybe no one decent wants the job? lol Either way Trestman is a dead man he just hasn't fallen down yet. lol

I wish the bears would lose out now. Unfortunately they will prolly go 7-9 and get a mediocre draft pick and have the worst of both world's. Altho I dont see an elite QB from this draft, at least not mariota or winston. Winston has talent but like manziel, no self awareness. Maybe the kid from UCLA hundley will be ok. Cant believe im talkinh draft pics week f-in 10. What a joke.

Yep too late for the Bears better to lose out & rebuild. Maybe Emery can package something up with Cutler he should go somewhere else if at all possible. Cutler a decent #2 maybe go the route of Orton?

Well.... hoping DA Bears lose today Trestman & staff get fired & Bears position for a good draft choice. The pick favors Da Bears but difficult to think they are better than the Vikings & young Bridgewater. Many expecting Cutler to bounce back & play much better me I have seen way too much of Mr Pick 6 want to show him the door the sooner the better....give Clauson a chance see what happens?

Personally i think the bears are gona have to ride the wave. They commited to cutler and cant get out of the contract. Well they could cut him after this year but they would have a ton of dead money owed to him and he would still be a large hit against the cap, i was reading. So they wont and cant cut him. Also no chance he can sit on bench and be backup for the money he's making next year, but maybe the tank this year and sit him in hopes he can get some confidence or something back, i duno. After next year the bears could cut him for only 3 million in dead money and virtually no cap hit. I bet the bears will keep him and trestman next year as thats really the only chance they have of winning, even if its not a good chance. Cant blow it up like raiders and over react, im sure if they have the chance they will draft a QB. If they are in the same position next year at this time, then trestman and cutler will be shown the door. and a complete overhaul will begin. #1 priority moving foward is finding a franchise QB. Which could take a LIFETIME. :(

To me the key is a losing season... fire Trestman then the new coach & Emery will try to package up something with Cutler for another NFL QB. At seasons end some teams may have interest in a Cutler package with or without draft choices other players...idk.. just have to see. I would not buy tickets for Trestman & Cutler ..sure I'm a Bear fan but once fans stop coming to games an overhaul is then way over due. I think we both see the long slide to nowhere so take your lumps & rebuild. The Bears FINALLY got things together with Finks & Ditka after many coach/player disasters & I don't want to see that play out again do it ASAP if not now end of season.

Guess we will just have to wait and see how it pans out and how the season ends. I agree i would like to see them tank now and get a top 5 draft pick, but im really not sure that will happen. I see a 7-9 team and about 9th-12th pick in draft. Emery is not going to blow it up in my opinion.....yet. Mel will be fired, maybe a few other assistants. Only way I see them firing everyone is if emery gets fired and they hire a new GM.

I also saw this interesting stat the other day which i couldnt believe

Ditka's record thru first 25 games------11-14

Lovie's record thru first 25 games----- 11-14

Trestmans record thru first 25 games----11-14

Fire Trestman alone for that 4 and 1 call, all that talent and you run the QB!?/ lol

Good test for Pack today. GO pack Go!

it was a good test for the pack,,,,,for like the first 60 seconds. if we remain healthy this team is unstoppable right now and is going to the super bowl. Rodgers and the offense is on another planet. throw out the saints game and we haven't had to play a second half of football in two months. defense is making enough plays but with our offense scoring 30 a half the d only has to be sufficient. cutler is so bad, he just slings it all over, even the passes that went for td's could of easily been picked.
I see every one's got a boner for the cardinals now. Stanton vs Rodgers?... we'll demolish them.
can't wait for pretty boy brady to come to lambeau for a beat down.

wow. Long ways to go there ace. If you wana crown their *** then crown them. Still have to prove they can beat the nfc west or a team with good trench play. Its packers vs cards not rodgers vs stanton. If it was qb vs qb.....peyton manning would have 8 super bowls. Pack look like favorites in nfc, but long way to go before they go to superbowl lol.

Too bad for the draft Da Bears won poor Vikings fans worse off than us.lol

No way you can judge the Vikings with the best running back in the NFL out and also their starting quarterback out and a rookie starting now. No team would be the same in that situation. They've actually done better than I thought they would, heck, their record is the same as the Bears who have had their starting quarterback and running back all year! LOL. No one predicted the Vikings would be good this year but the Bears sure were supposed to be!

Mark: It was what it was on Sunday you line up & play your team on that particular day Da Bears were better than Vikes ...kinda falls into the so what area... both basement dwellers this year & Da Bears might be worse than the Vikings at season end ...at least I hope so draft wise. Believe me I'm not convinced Da Bears will win another game all year but sometimes the sun shines on a dog's a$$. lol :)

Bears supposed to have all the pieces. On offense anyway. Cutler would have been picked two more times yesterday if the Vikes could have put any pressure on him. Cutler just flings it sometimes. Vikes have many pieces missing. Zimmer will try to draft defense which he is familiar with. I would guess that with the third overall pick they will select a Greenway replacement. His best days are long gone. The offense will just have to come along slowly. Perhaps they can somehow get a high draft pick for Peterson out of this whole mess. Right now the Vikes are about 15 players short of an NFL team. And they were still in it Sunday against the Bears right up until the end. Not a good sign for the Bears.

yah I kinda sound like you two months ago, and you were banking on Cutler. LOL!!!!

I def had high hopes this year for bears and cutler. Too bad they let us all down. NFL is a mad scientist. Usually the team you think will win doesnt. Thats the beauty of NFL playoffs. 6 seed can smoke the 1 seed any given day.

you also must not be watching today's NFL. it is QB vs QB more than anything today. i'll take Rodgers over anyone right now including Peyton. Peyton prolly would have a few more title if he wouldn't throw stupid picks.
i.e. peyton vs saints super bowl.
i.e. peyton vs. ravens afc championship game two years ago.
i.e. petyon vs brady numerous times.

nfc west is in shambles. saint's ain't making the playoffs and the niners may not either. seahawks? we won't have to beat them Marshawn is personally driving that bus off the road himself.

Rodges doesn't throw picks period. hasn't thrown one at home in like 3 hundred and some odd pass attempts. just broke packer record.
like is said the D don't have to be the 2000 ravens just contain the rush and what they're doing with Mathews seems to be working. our secondary is a bunch of ball hawks that take a back seat to no one. yah the kool aid tastes pretty good today.
