Here's what they can do on a side hill.

And here's what they can do in powder.

Pretty impressive if you ask me! The thing I'm most curious about is what it feels like when you lay one over and whip through a powder turn? If its not similar to a sled or even a bike in sand or mud, I don't thing I could live with out that powder carve/power slide feeling.
After watching those, I would love to rent one to try it out. Doubt I would buy one anytime soon just because i don't have a use for a dirt bike other than snow riding. But it looks like it could be pretty fun.

But the thing is, all of a sudden you WOULD have a use other than snow riding. You would have the option.

Yup, 2006 600 Carb. Runs great now, but....

I plan to go through it even with the low miles she's got. Just don't want to deal with the airbox issue. I'll be seeking aftermarket opinions when that happens.

Dave sooner or later you will need to deal with some of this preventive stuff. it is easy to check the boots. The dealers see you coming from a mile away dude! that rebuild estimate was out of this world.

Rk Tec and Snowest!!!put the coolaid down.....as for Redneck has to do with Lawsuits and who owns what but they are not gone!!rkteck has lead alot people down the wrong road!!google that!
Ok, bud. Apparently you have nothing better to do than spew fecal matter about my posts. Take a look back and read my advise and information on Poo's problems (which this thread is for), then go back and read yours. Obviously you have nothing better to do than come on here and try to promote some product that your close to. And as for Snowest, yeah your right. Why would I believe anything on there? Rk Tec? not even going to argue that. I'm sure you could build a much better product. Ignorance is bliss bud.

I don't mind wrenching on this one to keep it up. We have six 600's in the "stable" now. three of them are approaching, or eclipsed, 10,000 miles with primarily just general maintenance.

The estimate to rebuild mine was insane but what I wasn't spending $4,000 on a $5,000 sled and nobody else, including your brother, wanted to touch it so, off she went!

From what I’ve seen is the piston for 09 have 1 ring, from 10 on they have 2 rings. If you were to replace your pistons for a 09 you will be getting the 10. 11 – 13 have the same pistons 2 rings. From 09 – 13 have all different cylinders. I have a 13 800 SBA and love it. I bought it late in the season so I didn’t have a lot of miles on it yet. So I hope 13 have been fixed. Time will tell.

That was the first of many recalls. To replace the pistons with ones that had double rings.

yes that air box sucks .but not bad at all once u gut it then u can reach in and make sure boots are on.
the slp pipe woke up the 07 rmk 600 I had.
before gutting the air box on that 07 it took no less than 5 tries to get that p o s air box back on. chock that air box up to 1 more poo prob

I was worried too when first taking it off to rejet right after I bought it, tried splitting it to gut it and couldn't get the tabs apart without wrecking them. I figured what the heck can't hurt to try just putting the airbox back in the way it is stock. First try boom it snaps right in. Take a flashlight and inspect make sure boots on the box are on and you're good to go. I won't be getting the SLP kit or gutting it anytime soon, that way I don't have to listen to the loud sucking "gutted" noise.

I installed the SLP kit on my Fusion, but after doing so, I'm not sure the kit does anything different than just gutting it. The kit is kind of a pain to install IMO also. If I did it over again, I'd just gut it. My sled woke up from installing the kit and rejetting it, but I don't how much was from jetting and how much was from the kit. I didn't notice any additional noise at all, but maybe some sleds are different.

Don't sell it. The warranty may save you money in the long run if it burns down but, you'll be without a sled for who knows how long.
Keep it, ride it and take care of it accordingly knowing what is under the hood.

I did all that and it still blew up but that doesn't mean yours will.

well that all depends on what used sleds are going for late fall. if u can get good money then let her go. every thing is for sale. after last winter I think used sleds will be going for top $$$ this fall and with a yr or warranty left u are the cream of the crop.
but if u cant get the money u want run it that is warranty is for.u know that warm fuzzy feeling u have when your thumb is pegged plowing through a fresh 3ft down a big long wide river for a hr or so.
