that is true all u pro guys need a old yamaha with a sturdy rear bumper around

This Poo had a sturdy bumper to pull this 740+ lb Yamaha out of the woods. Sorry pic so small, hard to see the red rope from my bumper to skis.

That's a great pic. That guy's klim outfit didn't help him get out of that. Wonder why they didn't just roll it up onto the snow? I assume because he was stuck much deeper than it looks in the picture.

In the front of the picture, it looks like they were ready to set up a fire and camp for the night if they couldn't get out.

I tell you, I think if a guy owned any one of the 4 manufactures except a Yamaha, you could not go wrong for the riding we are talking about. As much as I don't want to think the new Doo t motion apparatus works and works well, I am hearing nothing but very good and I'd rather have the doo 800 over the poo. No doubt POO has the best chassis and if the motor issues are fixed, hands down the King of the Mountain.

The only way to really know all the facts is to ride them all. I have rode a Pro on 2 different occasions but never put it through the paces. I'd like to try them all but that would be tough to do because I don't know anyone with a new Cat,,,HINT HINT JD. Than you need the owner to be willing to let it go for a while.

I am very hesitant to post this but,
You really should spend some time talking to Wayne or, forget the UP and go out west for a few trips this year.
Wayne is a salesman but has me convinced that the 2012+ 800's are fine, (unless your name is Cliffhanger), and that is based on more than just his opinion.

Bottom line is, every sled is a time bomb. It's what you do with it that makes the difference.

John won't have them all at the Ride-In so, get one or don't.

If all of my paychecks didn't go straight to the Lakeland Hockey Association, I would by a 2012 800 RMK right now.

I'd love to believe ya but I am aware of 2 blown up 12's and I only know 5 people with them. I guess only 2 ka-pows out of 5 aint bad, could have been 3,4 or all 5.

I only know of three Yamaha owners and one of them blew up His 700 triple so what's your point? I exspect nothing more than envy from a guy who rides a tank. I find your persistent interest flattering. I hope you can one day own one.

here's the difference Waynester, the Yamaha triple does not have a reputation of blowing up, it has not earned a reputation of blowing up. Poo 800 in 09 were blowing left and right, enough so that world wide it has become an issue. It's reputation is getting better but when you earn the title of junk, you need to earn a more favorable title and it appears Poo is doing just that. The 2 poo 800's I mention are very low mile sleds and it fits in with the reputation it has earned. I have not just dug this problem out of my butt now have I? Is the Yamaha triple known for blowing up with low miles,,,I think not. It's a different time Wayne and you can thank the environmentalists AND Poo for the reputation poo has earned with the 800. I believe they have improved it and it will get better still.

Lets not go back to square one with your denial issues. You keep jumping off the wagon,,,,admitting a problem is the key to recovery,,,stick with me kid,,,I'll learn ya! ;)

Analyze the riders of the two that went kapow!
Then compare to how you ride and maintain your sleds, which I think is probably overkill. Not that's such a bad thing.
