Kip I get the fact you're triggered when customers criticize the product your sell, I'd probably be the same way after all those years. Fact is, if someone would have warned me about the issues I talk about here, back in the day, it would have saved me a lot of grief and annoyance. I went into Yam with an open mind - a babe in the woods, misled by a few around here (my fault in the end). I think of it as doing a public service, and if I happen to save one person from the disappointment of my negative experience, I call it a win. Most of the loyal diehard "last place" customers no doubt haven't tried No. 1 or 2 - if they did, they'd most likely be gone. I know I was SHOCKED at the diff after being away from 1 or 2 for just 6 years. No comparison. Enough for tonight. Good luck!

Yes xsledder many good things happen behind the scenes other than sales. I'm sorry Cirrus Yamaha doesn't build or make what you would like to see. I obviously feel the same way at times but I prefer to take the positive and take into consideration many other things other than sales or what's new. It's similar to politics, many people don't see eye to eye and can't believe how another would think the way they do. I hear a lot of negative about Yamaha and ignore it because people are entitled to their opinions and I can respect that. The only thing that really bothers me is when people are criticized for what they ride. There are thousands of Yamaha customers who have had great experiences and love what they ride, that's fact and not very hard to understand from my point of view and from what I see daily in my shop. I respect your opinion and everyone else's, but whether people believe it or not Yamaha has many many happy customers who love their product. I wish I could've been there to help you through your issues and I'm sorry that happened.

Great question! I do not know as of right now. I'll check with my DSM and see if it's something I can make happen. I do know where two are right now but if I told you I'd have to kill you! LOL! Stay tuned!

i think it is delusional to think just because a product sells more than others it is the best. there are a ton of things that are sold because those companies spend a lot of money on advertising. Doesn't make them the best. Maybe those people are delusional??? Never know. The best sled is the one you like and are willing to buy they are a lot of money these days. We all like different things imagine if we all drove the same car same color same model everything that would suck. Like most will say they are all good they all have there problems pick the one that fits you the best. For me that Yamaha. But to each his his own

Walmart is the biggest retailer in the world. Do people shop with pride at Walmart?

The Toyota Camry has been the best selling passenger car in the US since forever. Do you know a single gearhead car guy who owns one? I sure don't. They're great for retirees and rental car companies though.

Doos to me are the Walmart Camry of the snowmobile world. Everywhere, rode by boring people, and dull looking as heck. Can barely tell the difference between them when they pass me on the trail. Oh there goes another all black alligator/squirrel-looking thing with a rider also dressed in all black and wearing what looks like a NASA astronaut helmet. WAIT!!!! There's one with a tiny bit of yellow on it. But why does it have huge lego block looking things stacked on the tunnel that say LINQ?

Perhaps a sign envy? Eh, just a bit of sarcasm!
LOL. One would think that with all this money that we hear BRP and Polaris is throwing towards snowmobile development, one of them would own a flippen "French Curve"! (I would not expect Doo and Polaris riders would know what I am talking about.)
It is foolish to think they are that far in the rears to Ski-doo or Polaris.* In reality, Cat made minor adjustments to their Procross front in 2020 and it is still better than Polaris' and Doo's front.* After all, Cat started used A-arm front suspensions when Polaris was using the old trial arm front suspension (IFS) and Doo had the PRS, DCA, and ADCA trail arm suspensions until recently, compared to how long Cat had the a-arm suspension.* As far as rear suspensions, when I ride with other Doo riders, then still complain about rough trails and they are not going any faster over the moguls then I am on my Cat.* I just don't see that the ride is that much better.* Okay, so Polaris and Doo might have rising rate rear suspensions, but Cat has the unattached front arm suspension (Slide Action) that decouples the front arm and allows the suspension to adjust better to the terrain.* They have had this rear suspension for 15 yrs +/- and it took that long for Polaris and Doo to surpass them.

Cat also undated the bodywork in 2018 so it is easier to access things like oil.* (Thank God!)

Are most Cat riders disappointed not getting something new in 2022?* That is a most definite YES.* And why not, 10 years with the same overall bones of the sled is a long time and it is time for fresh blood in the line.* But, to think they are out of the running is fool hearty.* Just because they don't have a turbo charged sled doesn't mean they are out of the running.* Oh, wait, they had the first production turbo charged sled and currently have the fastest turbo charged sled in the market.* (My bad!)

I buy what's best for me each year since 2004, all doos (squeezed in New 18 800 Pro S for $7,500 in 2019 for 5 weeks) but what doo has to go with everything else..VALUE..Cat hasn't had that for 20 years. Poo has some nice sleds in the last 2 years but their prices stink. $500 for a painted tunnel, $500 for a panted skid frame and $500 for e start..all standard on doo 850's.
I would have pre ordered a 20 Matrix but it was $1,800ish more than the 850 Gade with X Package.

I also buy what is best for me. I am not concerned with the price of a painted tunnel option. I am concerned with SIMPLICITY and INGENUITY. For my '19 C-TEC2 600, it does not say I have to take the sled to the dealer to replace the spark plugs like it does in my friends '19 TNT 600 owner's manual. To perform basic maintenance on a sled without going to a dealer or needing special tools is simplicity (I consider replacing spark plugs basic maintenance). (I remember buying a set of special forks in order to hold the buttons on the TRA clutch to reassemble the clutch and buying a extremely long Phillips screw driver in order to adjust the PTO carb on my '02 Renegade. And don't get me started on changing the oil filter on my '07 Phazer.)

Also, the front bulk head of the Cat is made out of a square piece of steel tubing and not some assemble of lightweight material pop riveted together or a casting of lightweight material. If I wreck the front end of the ProCross, it can easily be rebuild it for a lot less then a Doo, Polaris or even the Delta box Yamaha's. (Bent an a-arm harpooning a culvert, did not get to the frame or shock thankfully. That is how I know what is underneath the ProCross.) Again, an example of Cat keeping it simple by not using as much exotic materials or complex structural elements in the construction of their sleds. (A reason they are heavier.)

I also applaud Cat on their use of using normal injectors to achieve emissions instead of some expensive direct injectors. Too me, adding the slot in the piston of the C-TEC2 600 engine was ingenious and thinking out of the box. (There are others examples but that is one that I picked for my response.) Add, how can the monorail suspension not be a game changer for the mountain segment?

I am not saying that Doo does not have original ideas of their own, they do and most are in the engine department (exhaust valves, electric engine reverse, the shot start), but I find Cat's ability to simplify the designs to be more attractive. I guess that is the engineer in me. It is the little things that attract me to Cat. That, and also Cat's styling is not based on boring straight lines and angles. At least Cat adds some curves and arches to the bodywork of their sleds.

I am glad you found what you like Bear. But, you cannot fault me for liking what I like either, just because it is Cat. I guess you can say I find VALUE in a Cat. I guess VALUE is subjective?

Agree with all of that fuji! I built a 650 Poo, and a 600R Doo, Poo price wasn't even close. Doo has value, and very easy to resell.

I would like to try a Polaris or Skidoo but if I put a lot of miles in a year it has no value. I had a 2017 Viper ltx le I put 11,000 miles still sold for $6000. If I had a Skidoo or Polaris it would be worth nothing. The price of new sleds will make me ride my 2020 till its out of warranty or a year before.

I can't wait to get a 2023 RIOT....or something CAT whatever is offered then...we lined up a 2021 SKS 850 and a 2021 RIOT 800....The poo was broke in...the cat only had 200 miles and was limited still....they were neck and neck...neither could pull away...it was fun though on the poo to be able to pump the throttle at any given speed and have it wheelie....that was a blast but when it came down it was squirrelly since it was narrow....you had to be careful of not rolling it...the cat would not wheelie but it would rail and not tippy at all
Thanks. It is a nice casino. Although, I have only been there for the buffet and restaurant a few times. They cleaned the area up pretty well.

I can see you being concerned with a Doo in TRF. Do they have a Doo and Polaris drop like they have the Honda drop in Sturgis? (I have only heard about it.) Have a good evening.
