Good news Indy,I just got off the phone with Jake from State Farm. Your drive train maybe covered . Turns out they see it all the time. By the way, I hear Jake looks good in kakis. No one is here to judge you,go ahead and give him a call.:)

not hearing much from Indy, what's up with that? Maybe he's out adding a holley double pumper and some hooker headers. I hear those Platinum spark plugs give you a huge boost

Indy, did you say you wanted to add some weight?

Busy pulling graveyard! I would love to do it but not sure I can justify the gas money to drive all the way up there and back LOL, still have a sled on the way and just ordered new Klim jacket and bibs 5 minutes ago.

If you can afford the sled and Klim gear you can afford the gas, plus it's a great cause. You could've negotiated the bibs and jacket on the deal if you would've called:) I'm not sure but I think I hear the pitter patter of boots going backwards?? LOL!!! With the confidence you have in that rock solid overpowered Chev I don't know why you are even giving it a second thought Indy. Just think of the glory of having money going to your favorite charity, ah, you would be a hero to all Chevy fans out there:)

come on man, you gonna let it be known that you backed down from a Ford. Maybe we all can help support the cause by chipping in a few bucks to help cover your expenses. I'm in for $20 and you get one night of free lodging!

I dont know? if I dont like it after the first trip west I may be back on a 11M . It never felt right in the 2 days I road it but did not spend any time playing with shocks or anything. 0 confidence on it and that is the worst . I do have a small pile of parts for it in the garage .

Indy, I think you should take them up on this, and Ride-In weekend would be a great time to do it. That time of year the Fords heated tailgate will come in handy when they need to push it home.:p

My buddy is a body tech at a Ford dealer, he has had two special classes so far on the new aluminum F150. He said it should be interesting, LOL.

A couple things to remember about aluminium vehicles . Your body shop will need to be trained on how to repair these panels. The tools used needs to be dedicated to aluminium . All hammers sanders hammer dollies . Bmw used this way to build the front end on their 5 series they no longer do . If the frame rails moved 2-3 mm they needed to be replaced . Pull motor remove rails and reglue and rivet new . I have been in body shop business for 25 years and do not like aluminium . Body panels can only be repaired if minor damage and aluminium tears . Repair costs are high insurance will be high . And good luck finding shops trained in the north woods .

One more thing I hope attaching a big plow on the front is ok . Some things to keep in mind .

wasn't the original topic how ford was saving so much money building alloy trucks by buying and melting down all poo's blown 800s.
and with the introduction of the axsis they figure they will be building trucks for less than the old steel ones.
