Calling for snow this weekend. Not sure how much we will get but the cold will be arriving I imagine it should only take a storm or two to get things going. Let's hope for the best. Good news is its only supposed to be a high of 35 today and tomorrow before the cold comes in Friday. We will see how things plan out!

Does not look like it anymore...figures. Let's hope it changes again before Sunday. Sounds like John is calling for 1-2" for us that is about it. Weather this morning on news said looks like most of the now will miss us to the south and the Low is going to be weaker than initially thought. Dammit

I always thought the trails will open this season no problem.
but the way this winter is going the way the jet stream seems to be stuck and starving us of moisture I'm beginning to think they will never open. can't recall a season when they didn't open for a weekend. 2011-12 year they opened for two days, that's the shortest season I can recall.

This has to be one of the worst winters for riding that i've seen here in a long time. Every time the weather man opens there mouth about potential snow here it seems to always either go south or just not happen at all. So disgusted with this area.

National weather service says storm is tracking north again. Still only sounds like 2-4 " with most at Wi/Il border!

My phone says snow starting tonight going till late Sunday night. Total accumulation 7-10". I will believe it when I am plowing it. It will probably happen as head north wed and it always snow right before I leave or when I am gone.

With the wind really hard to tell how much snow we have so far. I would guess maybe around 3" at 8 a.m just north of elkhorn. I live in trail and while outside this morning in the open areas the grass is still showing and in drifted areas a foot or two. I will report back later this afternoon. Calling for another 3-6" more towards statline and less to the north. Also more east from lake effect.

4"+ in wadsworth at 8:30 and coming down hard. Not much wind here. Blizzard warning starts this afternoon. Up to 18" forecast with lake effect. I dont see how Kenosha trails wont be open tomorrow or even later today. Hopefully you guys out west get the high end of the forecast.

Kenosha opened at 10:30. My earlier 4" estimate was a bit low. It was more like 6" once I got outside. Theres around 8" now and its coming down harder now than it had been all morning.

This is awesome. Its snowing and its gonna get cold tomorrow. This snow might actually hang around for a week.

Walworth, Jefferson and Rock are now open. I would have to bet that open areas maybe very thin as the snow seems to be blowing off them, Hopefully it will fill in the trails once people are out there riding.
