What you gain with 4 stroke tank motors in the "non-worry" dept, you lose in the "ride" dept on inferior chassis. Emphasis on inferior. I've found with people, some don't know, what they don't know.

Doo you really characterize the Doo chassis with the 1200 4S an inferior chassis to any chassis with a 2S motor in it? Not challenging....just asking.

JD has always been a free exchange of ideas & expressions & I don't care what menbers say I'm not going to censor them ....no point in that. I'm not going to give each dealer sales person & factory rep a lie detector test just take what is said & move on but all of the verbal exchange is information. Yamaha factory rep told me at Wausau show 2 new pure Japan mfg Yamaha platforms on the cook for 2017 & now American Snowmobiler said the same in latest issue. IMO take it or leave the info up to you but why not post the info & share source as an answer to a question that is asked?

If the source is reliable sure. Calling a factory rep or mag "reliable" is well......I can't use the expression I want to here on this board. And you know just because you can type it doesn't make it true.....but you already know that.

Doo 2 and 4 stroke use same chassis.

I KNOW that......I'm asking HIM the question.....waiting to see what he says.

Mr. Groomer, the answer to that is NO. There is only one tank mfg'r. ACE900 at 501 lbs is no tank.

What about the 1200?

All factory reps of the world are not going to like that...lol..I trust people in general & this is hobby not a court room drama where there are legal rules of what can be used as information. Do what you want but making issues of non issues is of no interest to me.

You trust these people......that's funny and this alone should give others even more insight into the inner workings of Mr. WD.

Oh...and you asked what I thought of the 2015 1200 in the Gade I rode. I really liked it vs. the 13 Gade I rode. The 15 motor wasn't lazy at all and had more than enough giddyup for me.

So anyway, while daydreaming about snow, I turned on "Grumpy Old Men"
Watched about 30 mins of that and decided this thread was more entertaining....lol

All 1200s from 09-15 will run the same..engine wise.....the 13 engine wasnt lazy, it was most likely a sacked primary spring that the owner never bothered to replace or realize. The 15 had a fresh spring in it thus making you believe it had a better "motor"

The E-drive isnt the best performance clutch and doo keeps these sleds spinning under 8k, altho the 16's are reportedly running more RPM's, with a higher rev limiter. They run very very good. ride a 16 vs pre-15.

A 4-500$ PB80 clutch makes these sleds a huge over acheiver for 130-135HP. If you dont have your 800 or apex running good they will wipe it.

Ok guys let's talk about my insanity trigger now lol!!
Not sure if I can name dealers on here, but got a call back, blizzard $700 more than my local dealer but he'll take my nice like-new cat f5 lxr in on trade.. $3000... feel
like I'd be selling an old friend down the river.. but being able to trade would save me from selling on craigslist or waiting to sell it at Hey Daze...

Alot of plusses to trading in. CL you spend a lot of time with tire kickers. People that just wasting your time. If you wait till hay days that is like 9 months. Storage space can be valuable for other things? Save some tax money on trade only paying tax on balance. So that 3k is more like 3250. Value of used could tank before you sell.
Decisions decisions, hard to give an opinion only to try to point out the obvious if you missed any.
I think its worse when changing brands also. Alot of what ifs.

I thought that Doo changed something in the clutching between 13 and 15.....different secondary or something? The 13 I rode had about 1000 miles on it if memory serves. The 15 motor FELT snappier.......I dunno.

Back to spending Richard's money..... ;)

Doo 2 and 4 stroke use same chassis.

and why? were the 4st not originally in the larger chassis and the 2st in the xp? did they switch all over just to switch . or for ez and cost of manufacturing.

I do it rides fine but the doo of all 4 have the chassis most likely to fold up with hits the other 3 just bend a arm or keep driving

XP, XR, XS all use same chassis, but the things bolted on to main chassis are different..

Hit a tree or cultvert or anything with any front end on any sled good luck to ya, its a lame excuse i hear to much for a trail sled. Offtrail thro sum grip n rips on..cheap and easy.

spoken like a true doo guy. not true it is a fact the doo can not take the hits others can grip and rip or not. I have helped more times than I like to remember changing out S module and E module from hits like fence post that I know just tear up arms and shocks on others. I like the doo I own one but reality is what it is .
