We had fights trying to put people on Cats. The poo turned into the Mtn.sled of choice. And the motors kept on blowing...........out of a fleet of 20 weblew 12 motors. Guys would ride Cat but not necessarily enjoy it. 2012..........Poochanged the motor and became bullet proof........1 motor down on a 600. Cat howeverwent the wrong direction with the new Mtn. style and it in no way compared to Poo.No turning radius, stiff and generally a first year new Mtn. tank. 2013........Poo, has their ship together. No motors down, running and handling byfar better than Cat. Cat made changes and got better at handling than previousyears, turning radius better, but they had motor issues.......their turn in thebarrel.........So, to answer the question........Polaris out rents Cat.....that'sthe way it is.... ...and our Polaris fleet takes a beating because of it..........I would say the catlovers of the world have a good sled there, and Arctic Cat is working on the sideissues to make it better. In conclusion,..........LOl.....Polaris had to takecenter stage. They put together a Mountain sled that just can't bebeat.............yet........I know the other brands are trying.

Well, there ya have it. I do not believe Carter is a poser, like PR1 likes to call people. "Blowing up like popcorn" what a great way to describe the problem poo was having with the 800!

sounds right to me and we know if they are holding up out west than they have been improved. Just curious exactly what poo addressed in the 2012 poo 800?

Good info there! It sounds like they had a mess on their hands for a couple of years and that big of a problem is hard to overcome from a consumer perception standpoint. It may take another couple years of low failures.

Such a child. I asked Carter for his view, not you. It is what it is. Bullet proof.

I have no doubt the 800 will only get better. The Pro chassis is just so awesome, people are willing to take a chance on the motor, just like I did. :D

You do hear nothing but rave reviews about that chassis. It will be fun to see what they can do to improve it over the years.

couple more years and I'll own one. At least now we can all agree that the 08-11 was a pile, to bad it had to come to a highly respected person to throw it out there.

I don't think anyone was denying a problem in 08-11, but you were pushing the fact it was still a problem and PR1's sled was running on borrowed time. That doesn't seem to be the case from what Carter posted, which was no 800's down the past 2 years. Carter used the words bullet proof!

I just see now this post was edited and I was responding to the Poo loyalist comment. It looks like we were right after all the past 2 years.

To me that is what Lenny has been saying from the get go! Great chassis but popcorn 800.

Carter says 0 blown 800's the past 2 years, that's not what was being said if you go back and read the early posts.

come on we all know the t motion was only built to try to bandage and string along a worthless deep snow chasi.

If that's what you want to call it, then yes. It was a **** of a good bandage. (So good that others are trying to modify it into other chassis also!). ;). Either way, it was a great peice of engineering, and made a big difference for 13. Enough about that though. Lets get back to Poos problems...
