Good looking sled Indy! Before you head north spend a bit more cash on some No Snows or Better Boards! Snow pack on the tunnel is miserable!

He's got one of my dimple dies. Indy you can do every dimple on that sled but one, check for support bracket under neath board. you can also add a dimple farther up in foot well. That will take care of your snow. Takes about an hr. per side.

how big of holes does it make, I cut my boards out on my old mtn lite and installed better boards and it finally was the fix, holes still clog IMO

5/8th inch and the boards get stronger by it. Works real well on sleds with heated boards like Indy has.

My dimple die thread was deleted a while back. I no longer make them (sold the rights). I will look for a couple pics to show what a finished board looks like.

You don't need to Lenny. our job is to ride and not worry so much! The boards are fine on my 2012 Pro. but to spend the big bucks to improve the boards on an old edge chassis with better boards??? That is just bad money management.

I ordered a set of B&M tube type for My M
the 11 M had big cut outs still worthless.
I would pay for a guy to build a set of tube style with a coolant hook up on both ends would really only need to heat tube along tunnel to do its job. or whole board and could prob scrap rear cooler then weight would be close to a wash then.
B&M did A group buy on snowest $320 a set. I played on there demos at haydays I think they are going to hold up well.
was thinking only thing besides turning them to a cooler would be flat stack along tunnel instead of tubing. the tubining is just going to be 1 more place to collect ice.
I am sure I will still need to lug around rubber hammer during some conditions.

now now Wayne, if you ride a sled off trail and the boards are loaded up all the time than a fix is worth it. $200 and problem gone, worth it!

I ordered a set from B&M at Haydays for their "Special Haydays Price" of $340 Wish I would have seen the $320 group buy on Snowest. When did they offer the SW deal?

I ran my 07 RMK for two years with the stock boards, which sucked, then added WRP boards, way better.

I might get the B@M fab ones for my pro, mine are bending already. :(

come on Skylar, just buy a pimple die kit and drill holes. You can wipe your boots back and forth all day like a dog with a itchy butt. Why just let the snow fall through when you can stomp it through all day...lol

Lenny, you can not dimple die Skylars sled. he has a Pro, his boards are way different then tool was ment for.
Skylar your the 2nd guy I heard who wants to beef up his boards and let more snow thru on "our" model of sled. Keep us informed if you change your boards please. (I am not jumping higher either, but sure packing on the weight). So far boards still look great. Also does cutting up boards and installing aftermarket boards affect resale value?

I had enough pimples when I was a teen, don't need them now!

I like Indy's $5 and problem gone. Keep in mind a 2010 is an old sled by my standards.

not trying to argue with you Wayne but the holes will not let enough snow out like the large cut outs will. In fact I doubt they will allow any snow out because usually the snow gets compacted under boot and will clog the holes in your pic just as it did mine. Really doesn't mater what age the machine is, only thing that matters is if a guy needs to remedy a problem. The dimple kit will not allow ample snow evacuation under foot, plain and simple and if your riding off trail than it can become a safety factor. I was forced to put better boards on my sled because my feet were slipping off the boards. The large cut outs did fix the problem and I pain $199, best money spent on that beast I had.

I have heat exchangers on my mtn max now and am removing them and installing VanAmberg tunnel cooler, will install some form of snow evacuation for my boards and mod the angle for less trenching. Also stretching it out to a 153 this year,,,all on a 12 yr old sled.

Best thing for Indy to do would leave it alone because with the coolers there it does melt off the snow rather quick but you do need to continuously move the bulk of snow pack with your foot. Right now my mtn max with heat exchangers on the foot board works okay as long as I brush most of the snow off, heat removes the rest

not speaking for Skylar but the mod would be for pure functionality out of necessity. Guys like us need the sled to perform and that is first and foremost priority, resale is in the back of our minds

We are on the same page Lenny. Matter of fact, if I were looking to buy a used mt. sled, I would prefer it have some type of aftermarket board on it. Resale, nope, I don't worry about it, never have. I take care of my stuff, and I am honest when I sell it. My 07 RMK had all kinds of one inch holes in the running board, they still packed up with snow.

I was going to pull the trigger on a set of the 2013 stock boards for my 12, much better design, but Poo Poo in their infinite wisdom, upped the price to 300 bucks this year, last year they were 250. Well, for another 50 bucks, the B&M Fab boards are a lot nicer.
