I haven't started drilling mine up yet lol WRP boards are only $160 not bad imo I don't mind spending a few bucks on the sled as I settled for an older cheaper one but yet the things still like new and I'd like to think I can get quite a few miles out of it. I guess if I dimpled it up I can still cut it out and install WRP boards.

the dimple holes will help to some degree but if your a stand up powder hound,,,forget it!!!!!!!!!! Nothing will help but large cut-outs. Now that you are just getting into offtrail they may be fine for you and the masses but hardcore,,,it's the wrong approach.

I was going to pull the trigger on a set of the 2013 stock boards for my 12, much better design, but Poo Poo in their infinite wisdom, upped the price to 300 bucks this year, last year they were 250. Well, for another 50 bucks, the B&M Fab boards are a lot nicer.

did u look at the B&M f bumper for the pro? 2 of my buds got them looked at the skinz and 1 other and went back to B&M.
I cant see aftermarket boards on any back country sled doing anything but adding appeal. may not get the money out but who cares about that if u are not kicking snow all day

Yes I did. They did a nice job on it. Agreed on the aftermarket boards adding nothing but appeal.

OK experts.
What can I do to the running boards on the 2006 Switchback that I bought?
I am not going to spend a fortune as I only plan on having this sled for a couple more seasons but, with my size 12's, it's very hard to ride with the stock running boards.
Any suggestions?

Dimple die for a few bucks, or you're next step up is roughly $200.

heck 2 seasons I dont know if I will have my sled 1 and it is worth the 320 and who knows how many hrs to install to not have snow packing in.
the older and rounder I get the more advantage I need

my buddies 12 mxz 800 etec boards are caving in also, just common with all the new boards as they go more and more towards snow evac

your right, I have come to really appreciate snow evac because it really comes down to needing good footing, the pay off is acceptable for me personally

Blew my 800 Assault with 1000 miles on it last March, Broken cylinder skirt took out the entire motor, case and all. I pulled the motor and had Indy Dan build me an 800 long rod. The pics on this ebay link show what he does to fix these ticking time bombs. If your 800 runs out of waranty I would send it his way. There are a ton people making a living on fixing these junk motors. I have been riding a Polaris since birth. Best sleds ever untils my last two. Five motors in two IQ sleds. The should have stuck with the carbed edge. I will get some picks of my nightmare up soon.
