This was a real conversation I had with a couple friends:
Both of these guys had Covid about a year ago, so I really wanted to know what they felt, what they saw, and what they did to take care of themselves.
My one buddy says: The first thing I noticed was my Swimsuit area was 6 inches...
The little woman and I did a rental to ride in the Snowy Range yesterday! Total blast! Supposedly 178,000+ acres burned as part of the charred landscape.
The lack of green actually helped our visibility in many places, but wow, lots of burned areas. Nearly all structures were saved...
To those of you who put out food for the birds, do you still have any Orioles in your area?
At the little woman's house here in central Sconnie, it got nice and warm for the Orioles to come rolling through right on time, 2nd week of May. Then we had that really cold snap (For this time of...
I have a deck ( ~14' x 18' ) where the previous owner didn't leave any gap between the 2x6's when installed, and then painted it with exterior latex. Yeah, the water sits on it, and now after about 5 years its pealing up as you would imagine.
Without doing a complete tear off of the current...
For anyone looking for a really good area with phenomenal trails, I highly recommend this area right now. My son and I just finished a 3 day saddle bag trip from New Richmond to Cadott, then to BRF day 2, and BRF back to New Richmond today. The last 50 miles into BRF from the north could...
Can you ride across the Hwy 10 bridge by snowmobile? I see the trail comes up to it on both sides, but the map doesn't show the trail actually crossing the bridge. Or do you have to go up to the Corridor 35 trail out of Dunnville and cross the river there?
Any intel available out there...
Well, good news bad news, warmer and snowier in MN - warmer usually means melting, but I'll take all the snow we can get!
I'm sure John takes it as gospel, right?? LOL
Anyone else listen to GarageLogic.com??
For those who do not, from time to time they talk about your “cylinder index”. How many cylinders do you own? Cars, trucks, lawn mowers, snowmobiles, chainsaws, etc etc. Each one has a motor with cylinders.

In the middle of all this, on Monday, the MN Legislature (House of representatives) voted 74-60 to give salary increases to State Employees. 50,000 GOV'T workers to get a raise in the middle of this? From a 1.5B surplus to a 2.4B deficit (Estimated as of today) and we hand out raises to state...
A couple guys I ride with were asking this exact question the other day - where are we going to stay and eat next winter if a number of these places don’t make it?
What funds are the State going to chop with their destroyed tax income? Will snowmobiling retain the grants they have been getting...
Anybody happen to see it? Can’t make it up because the Gov posted the results himself.
66%, yes 66%! Of 1000 patients who recently tested positive for Covid were, wait for it, Sheltering at HOME!!!
I’ll let the fact checkers find the chart for us.
Grand Rapids to Lutsen to Duluth to I-Falls the last 10 days - put on 2085 miles!
Trails were FANTASTIC - hats off to all the Groomer operators and trail coordinators that have things in really good shape up there!! Ride while you can, March is just around the corner!!
No need to ask about...
Just a friendly reminder in the early season - keep right on those left hand corners during the day! As every year it seems, people are just going through the fastest line without concern of that other sled coming your way. Almost all outsides of corners completely untouched where I rode this...
Since no one posts many Guest Shots anymore, thought I would change it up a little from the "Oh no another warm up" threads to some actual riding/trail shots. I know I'm not the only one to do the backpacking trip thing. This was my little adventure the last 10 days from New Richmond, WI to...
People, no one can tell you how a warm up is going to affect trail conditions until it happens. Waaaaay too many variables. And no one is an expert when it comes to snow melt. All we know is what is there will eventually melt, and if you didn’t get out and ride on it, that’s your own damn...
How many did you get?
I know some of you are still out pounding the trails in the UP, but it was a pretty good year if you chased the snow, as many of us know.
3322 miles was a good year in MN. One of my riding buds ended with 4400+ this season.
